This spring, YouTube released its new per-video “cards” feature as an evolution of annotations for video creators. There are 6 types of cards:
- associated website
- fan funding
Cards work on both mobile and desktop, and let you customize image, title, call-to-action, and destination URLs depending on the card type. Clickable teaser text will appear at a designated time in the video for several seconds to draw the viewer’s attention to your card, and you can have up to 5 cards per video.
