Apple has announced, at their March 21st, 2016 event, the iPhone SE, a 4” version of their powerful iPhone 6s starting at $399, as well as a 9.7” version of the iPad Pro starting at $599 & upgradeable to 256 GB of memory, the most ever for an iOS device. Other announcements included:
- Apple TV software update that will let users group apps into folder, allow dictation (including logins and passwords - yay!) through Siri, accessing your entire iCloud photo library, and some other little features.
- iOS 9.3 is here with Night Shift (reduces blue light in the evening to help with sleep), password-protected Notes (including individually through fingerprint), better News (top stories for you and editors' picks), CarPlay improvements, and a new Education preview suite of software for students, teachers, and administrators (which looks super cool).
- CareKit platform to supplement to ResearchKit that lets people take an active role in their health care.
- Apple Watch has a new band.
Nothing too surprising but a lot of good updates across the board for mobile-related Apple products. - Jeff MacArthur
